This is the commercial I did called the Road trip to Happiness for BMW. We filmed this over 12 days doing a road trip from India to Nepal to Bhutan. Without question it was one of the most challenging and memorable road trips I’ve ever done-and I’ve done a ton of them! Check out the Road trip to Happiness for BMW plus you can see the original article here!
One of the trends in advertising these days is that commercials and ads are no longer just 30 second ads with some celebrity or random actors. The trend is storytelling with real people doing real things. I was thrilled to be asked by BMW to be in this commercial. It was such a memorable experience and traveling with my crew of 4 Germans was great.
It was fun navigating the chaotic streets of Indian cities like Delhi, Agra, Lucknow and Darjeeling. It was amazing driving up in the mountains of Sikkim, West Bengal and Nepal into the amazing Kingdom of Bhutan. Driving is a challenge in these countries but this road trip to happiness for BMW is one I’ll never forget as long as I live.
Thanks for sharing, Lee! I was wondering what the final result of this commercial would be after following your Instagram stories as this trip was happening a couple of months ago. Is the intent for this commercial to go viral online through Social Media to raise more brand awareness of BMW? Or did the producers tell you that this will also be televised, as well?
It is being released globally online through their bmw channels and they’re supposed to put it on tv as well but I don’t know their plans. Especially given the length of the short story.
Excellent:) tanks!

This is True Love with a God given Life ? Stay Blessed My Friend ?
Well done!
The clip came out great. Congratulations! I am wondering though, how did it feel to make such a trip in a luxury car like the X5. I mean this was not California. How did people react to it? Were did u park at night? Or maybe I have a completely wrong perception and it was not that big a deal 🙂
