The final four is set in the greatest club tournament in the world and there are no real surprises. Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona are probably the three best clubs in the world and Arsenal-always a European threat, round out the final four. This promises to be an awesome semifinal round and marks the second straight year that three English teams are in the semifinals-last year Liverpool was there instead of Arsenal. There is a very distinct possibility of a repeat of last years thrilling final between Chelsea and Manchester United, won dubiously by Manchester United after a shootout. Hopefully that doesn’t happen as I would much rather see a repeat of the 2006 final between Arsenal and Barcelona as I hate both Chelsea and Manchester United.
Arsenal battles Manchester United in the first semifinal and pits two bitter rivals against each other. Arsenal has fared very well against the Red Devils in the past few years so I am confident they can hold their own and advance. However the reigning champs are tough in Europe and are looking to be the first team in years to repeat. Chelsea and Barcelona battle in the other semifinal and Barcelona has the clear momentum coming into this tie and I believe they are currently the best team on the planet with an unreal front line of Messi, Eto’o and Henry along with a cast of all stars rounding out the team. I think they will be too tough to beat as Messi is definitely the best player in ther world right now and has been on fire in the UCL and currently leads it in scoring.
Let the games begin.
I’m American-why do I care about European soccer?
If that’s you’re attitude then you’re probably on the wrong site my man.
Gunners!
Why isn’t there a french club in your list?
No French team qualified for the semis that year…this was two years ago dude
