I thought about doing a 30 best list for the most beautiful places in the world but then I reconsidered and figured I would keep it shorter and sweeter. Then I thought of calling it the 10 most beautiful places in the world but then that was too definitive and I know people will lose their minds. So I finally decided on 10 of the most beautiful places in the world to allow some wiggle room! What do you think of these 10? They’re in no particular order.

1. Bali
It honestly doesn’t get much better than Bali. I have called it the worlds most perfect place. Bali really has it all. It has something for everyone at every budget level and they crush it at all price points! The only negative is traffic and tourists but tourists only go to good places!

2. Antarctica
It’s pretty well documented how much I love Antarctica and I look forward to heading back to the region early 2017 with Oceanwide Expeditions! 3. Patagonia
Patagonia is a region that spans both Chile and Argentina and it is absolutely stunning. This photo is of Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile and for my money, it’s one of the most amazing sights I’ve ever seen in person.

4. Sahara Desert
The Sahara Desert is the largest sand desert on Earth spanning all of North Africa. It is a pleasure to look at and experience as long as you’re not lost there! I took this in Morocco in 2007 in Erg Chebi and that remains one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in my travels.

5. Lord Howe Island, Australia
I once named Lord Howe Island the #1 island on my 30 best islands in the world list. I still stand by that and cannot wait to go back! It is as beautiful as it fun and relaxing. It’s pretty much perfect!

6. Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls spans no mans land between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Any way you look at it, it’s absolutely captivating. I recommend seeing it from both countries plus along the bridge and then from above as they do scenic flights. Oh and you can bungee jump too if you dare!

7. Bora Bora
Bora Bora is as gorgeous as you want and expect it to be. There is no way around it. You get what you pay for and you’ll pay a lot to stay at the top resorts. However, the views and experience are well worth it. You’ll never forget it!

8. Alberta, Canada
Alberta, Canada is as beautiful as it gets in North America. I’d rank it slightly ahead of Alaska, California and Arizona for most beautiful states or provinces in North America. This photo is from Christmas time at Lake Louise; which is just one amazing lake around Jasper and Banff National Parks.

9. The Dolomites
The Dolomites for my money is the best road trip in Europe. The scenery is stunning. The Italian and Swiss/German villages along the way plus the windy roads are mesmerizing. I loved my road trip there and look forward to returning next year!

10. Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
The Southern Altiplano and Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is as gorgeous as it gets anywhere. The otherworldly landscapes, high altitudes and amazing scenery will leave you speechless. It’s a can’t miss destination in South America without question!
